5 common email signature mistakes and how to avoid them

Broken images, over-long signatures, missing contact info — small mistakes that make a signature backfire.

1. Broken or missing logo image

The most common cause is a pasted image instead of a stable public URL. Upload your logo and use a fixed link.

2. Signature is too long

A good signature is tight: name, title, company, one phone number, one website. Cramming in everything makes readers skip all of it.

3. Not mobile-friendly

More than half of emails are read on phones. Table signatures with a large fixed width break the layout. HTT generates mobile-friendly markup by default.

4. No call to action

A booking link or a small promo banner can turn a signature into a gentle marketing channel without being annoying.

5. Outdated details

Old phone numbers, old titles. Central management lets you update once for the whole organization.
